Posted by [EiE Team](https://yesblog.mos.org/author/eie-team) on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 We’re excited to celebrate [Women’s History Month](https://womenshistorymonth.gov/) with you this year! From now until the end of March, we’ll be highlighting innovations and achievements from female scientists, engineers and mathematicians. Women’s History Month has been celebrated in the US since 1988, an observance to honor the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. This year’s theme focuses on suffrage and a continued celebration of the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote in 1920. Given that celebrations were curtailed by the coronavirus last year, we are thrilled to look back in history to the accomplishments of those who led the way for others in their respective fields.  We know the contributions of our female colleagues don’t always get the accolades they deserve and how important it is to showcase role models for young women, especially in STEM fields. We’re determined to do our part to increase the visibility of accomplishments of female trailblazers.
